Role Objective: To diagnose and repair motorcycles correctly the first time, following prescribed technical standards and ensuring safe, quality delivery with complete customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and engine-related complaints using standard diagnostic procedures and tools.
• Carry out repairs and part replacements as per manufacturer repair manuals and SOPs.
• Ensure First Time Right (FTR) and avoid repeat repairs.
• Service & Maintenance
• Perform periodic maintenance services as per prescribed service schedules.
• Inspect critical components such as engine, clutch, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, chain-sprocket, tyres and steering.
• Ensure PM parts are replaced as per the service checklist.
• Quality & Safety
• Conduct proper final inspection and road test after every repair.
• Follow manufacturer safety standards, repair SOPs and workshop processes.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of customer vehicles and removed parts.
• Customer Concern Resolution
• Understand customer complaints accurately and support the Service Advisor in identifying the root cause.
• Explain technical findings and repair requirements when required.
• Ensure customer concerns are completely resolved before vehicle delivery.
• Technical Process Adherence
• Use prescribed diagnostic tools, check sheets and digital applications for diagnosis and repair.
• Follow warranty procedures and ensure proper documentation of warranty repairs.
• Escalate difficult/repeat technical cases to the Workshop Manager or technical support team.
• Product & Technical Learning
• Participate in OJT, technical training and new-product training.
• Stay updated on new models, technical changes, service campaigns and repair procedures.
• Share recurring technical issues and field observations with the Workshop Manager.
• Workshop DisciplineMaintain tools, equipment and assigned workstations properly.
• Follow 5S, TPM and safety practices within the workshop.
• Ensure proper segregation and handover of replaced parts.
